Athens Digital Skills Workshop for Refugee Girls and Women ( 17/9/2018) Athens

Our inaugural workshop will take place in Athens from Sep 17 – 30, 2018. Each girl and woman will be trained in multimedia storytelling and will produce her own video, sharing her life story and future vision in her own words. The participants will acquire skills of scripting, filming, video editing and website designing – a 360-degree multimedia vision. After the workshop, Azadi aims to connect these girls and women with organizations for internships and employment opportunities, facilitating their integration.

Program participants will be trained in best practices for digital content producers. They will learn to engage with video, digital photography, audio recordings, and possess the tools and storytelling skills to produce, edit and post content online across all social media platforms.
Upon completion of the week-long workshop, participants will receive a certificate of completion, issued in partnership with The Center for Constitutional Studies and Democratic Development (CCSDD) which is a joint collaboration between the School of Law of the University of Bologna and the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy (SAIS Europe).
The certificate program will train participants in:
Choosing the best media for telling stories on multiple digital platforms.
Developing strategies for multimedia production and delivery on mobile devices.
Learning to develop a narrative in digital stories and to develop creative visual stories.
Shooting, editing and producing own videos.
Learning to produce engaging content for all digital platforms.
Learning to use publishing platforms to showcase your work.
